Akva Waterbeds was established in 1981

Payment is possible via Dankort / Visa / Visa Electron / American Express / MasterCard / Maestro and JBC. Upon payment, a transaction fee will be charged to your card. Please see the table below.

Order confirmation

Once we have received your order and payment, you will receive an order confirmation by email. We recommend that you save this as confirmation that we received your order.


Standard goods:

For purchases of spare parts (all goods other than complete water beds), you can expect a normal delivery time of 4-7 weekdays, depending on whether the product is in stock or if it has to be specially manufactured. You will receive an email when the item has dispatched from the warehouse. 

Delivery: DKK 68 including VAT.

Freight-free limit: DKK 1000 delivers to Denmark and Norway. delivers to the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, France, Sweden, Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic and the Baltic countries.

Special orders (waterbeds):

If you have ordered a complete waterbed, it will be delivered by a service man who will install the waterbed. Expect a delivery time of 4-6 weeks, as the product has to be produced in our factory first. Your serviceman and service partner will contact you to schedule a time for delivery and installation.

Delivery and installation of waterbeds is free of charge.

Delivery by GLS:

If the products ordered are not complete waterbeds, AKVA will send the product(s) to the delivery address furnished by the customer. If you have ordered a complete waterbed, it will be delivered by a service man who will install the waterbed. At checkout, you select a serviceman and service partner.

The recipient is obligated to check that the product packaging is unopened upon delivery. If this is not the case, you should inspect the delivered products together with the carrier. In case of errors or defects in the delivery, you should make a complaint with the carrier, and will then remedy such errors or defects as quickly as possible. The recipient is furthermore obligated to check that the delivery contains the ordered items. If that is not the case, you must inform via email to of such errors or defects no later than within eight days. The recipient may not claim compensation for delivery of an incorrect item if the item has been used. 


In case you regret your purchase (right of cancellation)

When buying from us, you have 14 days to cancel your purchase.

The right of cancellation expires 14 days after the delivery of your goods.

Within 14 days of receipt, you must notify us that you regret your purchase and wish to cancel it. Notification must be sent to Your notification you must clearly state that you wish to exercise your right of cancellation. You may not cancel your order by simply refusing to accept the goods without clearly notifying us of your wish to do so.

Note that our rules for returns and our right of cancellation are different for standard goods, on the one hand, and for individually manufactured products and complete waterbeds, on the other. Individually manufactured products and complete waterbeds are so-called special orders, where the right to cancel a purchase lapses once the order has been given.

You must return your order to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us that you wish to cancel your purchase. You are responsible for bearing all costs related to returning the product.
On returning the goods, you are further responsible for ensuring that the products are suitably packaged. You bear all risks for the goods from the time of their delivery to you.

Because of their very nature, some goods cannot be returned via ordinary post.  The cost of a return is expected to be maximum DKK 300.

The following types of items are excluded from the right of cancellation:

Special orders (individually manufactured products and complete waterbeds)

When you order an individually manufactured product (e.g. a waterbed made to order or a complete waterbed) from, the product in question is a unique product that has been adapted and individually tailored to your preferences and instructions. You configure yourself the materials, sizes, colours, plinth type, mattress type with different levels of firmness etc. – and (Akva Waterbeds A/S) does not commence production until the final order has been given. The product is thus unique and cannot subsequently be exchanged, because AKVA Waterbeds A/S cannot resell it elsewhere. For that reason, your ordinary 14-day right of return/cancellation is void from the moment you have placed your final order and production has begun.

The condition of the goods upon their return

You bear responsibility for any loss in the value of the goods that is due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, properties and proper functioning of the goods.

If the goods have been used beyond what is described above, we shall consider them used, meaning that upon your cancellation of the purchase, you will be reimbursed only a part or none of the purchase price, depending on the commercial value of the goods.

Reimbursement of the purchase sum
If you cancel your purchase, you will naturally be reimbursed the purchase sum. In case of depreciation for which you are responsible, this will be deducted from the amount of reimbursement. If you utilise your right of cancellation, we will refund the amount without delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which we received notification of your decision to cancel the agreement. We will reimburse you using the same means of payment that you used in the original transaction, unless you have expressly consented otherwise. We can withhold the reimbursement until we receive the goods, unless you have furnished documentation showing that you have returned it.

You can also cancel a purchase by providing clear notification and delivering the product personally at your service partner's address.

If there is anything wrong with the product (warranty)

When shopping at, you are entitled to a two-year warranty. That means you either get the product repaired, replaced, your money back or a discount, depending on the individual situation.

Naturally, the claim has to be warranted, and the error or defect must not be due to incorrect use of the product or other harmful behaviour.


For all warranted claims, will reimburse the costs of returning the product. For this purpose, kindly send an email to, stating the postage expenses and your banking information. Keep your postage receipt as documentation.

How quickly must I make a claim?
You must send your claim within a "reasonable time" after discovering the product error or defect. If you make your compliant within two months of discovering the error/defect, the claim will be considered as received on time.

We will require the following information when you send the product to us
When you return the product, kindly state the nature of the problem in as much detail as possible and when you purchased the product.

Note: We do not accept packages sent cash on delivery (C.O.D.) or in a similar fashion. Remember that the product must always be returned in appropriate packing material.


We shall not be liable for minor departures in colours or sizes on our website. There may be differences in nuance as a result of your computer settings, and wood and textile colours are therefore considered a guideline only. This will not be considered an error and will not entitle the buyer to any refund of expenses, either with respect to the original delivery or to the return of the product. Guidelines sent per email with regard to sizes etc. from cannot be considered as an error on the part of and will not entitle the buyer to reimbursement of shipping costs in connection with replacement.

What do we do with your personal data (personal data policy)
In order to enter into an agreement with you, we need the following information:

We register your personal data in the objective of being able to deliver the product to you.

This data will be registered with Akva Waterbeds A/S and stored for five years, after which time it will be deleted.

When we collect personal data via our website, we make sure that we do so with your express consent, so you are informed of exactly what data is being collected and why. Akva Waterbeds' staff has access to the data collected from you.

We transmit your customer data and payment information in encrypted format. We use the security protocol SSL (RapidSSL), which ensures that your customer data and payment information is transmitted in encrypted format.  Encryption ensures that no one can manipulate the data provided. A digital certificate in SSL protocol checks the sender and/or recipient of the data transmission.

We do not store the customer data in encrypted format.

Information furnished to will not be disclosed or sold in any way to third parties, and we do not register any personally sensitive data.

When registered with Akva Waterbeds A/S, you are entitled at any time to object to registration. In accordance with the Danish act on the processing of personal data, you are also entitled to consult whatever data we have registered for you. For enquiries in this regard, please write to
